He highlighted a notable surge in domestic defense production that will be advantageous for the country, expressing confidence in the armed forces' preparedness to confront any obstacles.
Singh, who recently assumed office as Defense Minister, outlined his objectives for the upcoming five years, aiming to boost defense exports from Rs.21,083 crore to Rs.50,000 crore by 2028-29. Plans include equipping army forces with advanced weaponry and ensuring readiness for all challenges.
To enhance defense readiness and promote self-sufficiency in defense, regular review meetings will be conducted to accelerate the implementation of key plans and initiatives, as part of the ministry's initial 100-day action plan chaired by Minister Singh.
