Voting for the Maval Lok Sabha constituency took place in Pimpri on Monday. However, heavy rain at 3:30 PM affected the Karjat Vidhan Sabha area, preventing many voters from casting their votes. MP Shrirang Barne has requested that these voters be given an opportunity to vote at a later time or have a re-voting session. He submitted a letter to the Election Commissioner regarding this matter.
Due to the inclement weather, electricity poles fell in rural parts of Karjat taluka, causing power outages at several polling stations and hindering voting for many citizens. Therefore, Mahayuti candidate Srirang Barne has urged the Chief Election Commissioner to investigate the situation in the rural areas of Karjat taluka and consider organizing a re-vote in that region.
