In New Delhi, a dust storm, strong winds, and rain affected parts of the national capital on Friday. Officials reported that nine flights were diverted from the Delhi airport in the late evening due to adverse weather conditions. Among the diverted flights, some were rerouted to Jaipur. The Meteorology Department issued a warning about the dust storm, advising residents to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) emphasized the importance of securing windows and doors, staying indoors, and refraining from non-essential journeys. Additionally, the IMD recommended seeking safe shelters and avoiding taking cover under trees. Due to a large tree obstructing the road at B2 Janakpuri, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic alert for Dharam Marg and Janakpuri.
