The incidents of forest fire in Himachal Pradesh are not stopping. Yesterday, there was fire at 69 places in the forests, in which 609 hectares of land was burnt to ashes. So far this year in the fire season, the Forest Department has registered a total of 877 cases of forest fires. These cases have broken the record of the last financial year while there are still about 20 days left for the fire season to end.
So far this year, forest wealth on 8316 hectares of land has been damaged. From Friday evening to Saturday evening, seven incidents of forest fire were recorded in Bilaspur Circle, one in Chamba, maximum 31 in Dharamshala, four in Hamirpur, two in Mandi, seven in Nahan, one in Shimla, 16 in Solan.
Forest wealth has been damaged on 199 hectares in Bilaspur, five in Chamba, 160 in Dharamshala, 30 in Hamirpur, 56.8 hectares in Mandi, 27 hectares in Nahan, 38 hectares in Shimla, 94 hectares in Solan.
