The BCCI has announced the Indian women's team for the T20 World Cup 2024, which has been selected under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur.


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian women's team for the T20 World Cup 2024. The Women's T20 World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the 15-member squad. Apart from this, 3 travelling reserves and 2 non-travelling reserves have also been selected. Spinner Shreyanka Patil has been selected but there is a question mark over her participation.

India will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Smriti Mandhana will be India's vice-captain. For India, openers Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and Dayalan Hemalatha will lead the side. The spin department will be led by all-rounder Deepti Sharma, spinner Radha Yadav and leg-spinner Asha Shobana, who will be playing in her first World Cup at the age of 33.


All-rounder Shreyanka Patil has also been included in the squad. Patil is yet to recover from the finger injury he suffered during the recent Asia Cup. Shreyanka Patil, who is nursing an injury, will join the team only after she recovers from the injury. India's pace attack will be led by Renuka Thakur, Pooja Vastrakar and Arundhati Reddy.
