On the first day of the EAPCET for the Agriculture and Pharmacy stream, candidates prepared to take the exam at the TCS iON digital zone in the city. During the morning session, 90.41% of candidates participated in the entrance exam, with 91.24% taking the test across 82 centers in Telangana and 63 in Andhra Pradesh. About 30,288 students out of 33,500 attended the exam in the morning, while approximately 30,571 students out of 33,505 appeared in the evening session.
Professor R. Limbadri, Chairman of TSCHE, and Burra Venkatesham, Principal Secretary to the Government in the Higher Education Department of Telangana, visited various test centers in Hyderabad. They observed that the exams were conducted smoothly and fairly. A senior officer mentioned that the EAPCET Engineering exam would extend for an additional three days, scheduled for May 9, 10, and 11. The exam is split into two sessions, with the morning session from 9 am to 12 pm, and the evening session from 3 pm to 6 pm.
One student, Mohan, expressed, "This is my first competitive exam, particularly a computer-based one. I was initially nervous about the question difficulty level, but the paper turned out to be quite manageable." Another candidate, Utham, shared, "Almost all the questions were from the intermediate syllabus, which is what we had prepared for. I am very optimistic about achieving good marks in the EAPCET exam."
