The State Drugs Control Administration in Hyderabad uncovered an illicit operation selling a mixture of allopathic drug powder as 'Ayurvedic Medicine for the treatment of Diabetes' in Ghatkesar. A raid was carried out on Sampurna Ayurveda Nilayam in Ghatkesar village, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Stocks valued at Rs.1.5 lakh, purported to be Ayurvedic medicines, were seized. However, they were found to contain allopathic anti-diabetic medications such as Metformin, Glimepiride, and Gliclazide.

In a separate operation, DCA officials confiscated two overpriced medicines - ZenBact ointment (Mupirocin Ointment IP 2% w/w) in Narsampet and Thymeen Injection (Thiamine Injection IP 100 mg/ml) in Godavarikhani. Furthermore, 'Femizoy Syrup', an Ayurvedic medicine in Jadcherla, was seized due to misleading claims in its advertisement regarding the treatment of 'disorders of menstrual flow'.

Additionally, a clinic run by a quack in Nizampet village, Nizampet mandal, Medak district, was raided, and drugs intended for sale were confiscated. Another raid on Sampurna Ayurveda Nilayam in Ghatkesar led to the seizure of Ayurvedic medicines mixed with allopathic drugs.
