In a recent interview with PTI, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the public's response to his party and the INDIA bloc has noticeably shifted. He emphasized a growing wave of support for the alliance, which he believes will prevent the BJP from achieving a majority in the Lok Sabha polls.

Kharge highlighted that people are rallying against the ideologies of the BJP and the RSS, which he accuses of sowing division and spreading hate. Kharge expressed confidence in the backing they are receiving, noting a surge in public support for their cause. He criticized the BJP for allegedly manipulating emotions through issues like the Ram Temple, Hindu-Muslim relations, and India-Pakistan dynamics, claiming that their tactics have been exposed.

Regarding the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Kharge stressed the importance of defending democracy, the Constitution, and fundamental rights. He pointed out that concerns such as rising prices and unemployment are key issues resonating with voters. Kharge accused the BJP of failing to deliver on promises made in previous elections.

Kharge condemned the BJP for what he perceived as deception and accused them of disregarding democratic principles. He asserted that the current election is critical in safeguarding constitutional values and democratic rights for all citizens.

The Congress President also raised concerns about the limitation of freedom of speech and expression, underscoring the significance of upholding these rights. He criticized the BJP for allegedly stifling dissent and targeting opposition leaders during the election campaign.
