The report highlights that India and Germany are tied for having the highest number of AI research institutions worldwide. Bengaluru is home to 759 AI startups and has garnered an overall score of 4.64, according to Linkee.ai, which conducted a study to pinpoint the top 10 AI hubs in 2024. In terms of AI research institutions, both India (Bengaluru) and Germany (Berlin) have emerged as leaders, each boasting nine such research facilities.

AI hubs signify cities that heavily invest in AI, offering numerous AI-related job opportunities. Professionals such as AI specialists, data scientists, and machine learning specialists are lucratively compensated in these hubs, which also host a significant number of AI institutions. The report notes that, akin to Berlin, Bengaluru stands out for having the highest number of AI research institutions and AI job openings among the cities on the list.

Boston in the US secures the top spot as the leading AI hub in 2024, with a score of 6.26. Singapore clinches the second position on the global AI hubs list, scoring an aggregate of 5.92. In 2024, Tel Aviv, Israel emerges as the third most prominent AI hub, boasting a total score of 5.62. Zurich, Switzerland, and Toronto, Canada, occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. The report highlights that half of the top 10 AI hubs are located in Asian cities.
