A 55-year-old resident of Hingne Khurd has lodged a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station. According to the police, a pipeline of MNGL company has been laid in the Sinhagad Road area and a domestic connection has been provided in the area.
Taking advantage of this, he called the complainant who lives in Ajinkya Nagar. Your MNGL bill is pending. The complainant said, "We have paid the bill. At that time, he sent a WhatsApp link to the complainant on the pretext of updating the account of MNGL, saying that it was not visible in our system. She asked me to fill it. Through this, he took all the information of the complainant and debit cards and withdrew Rs 3 lakh 83 thousand from his account.
Earlier, cyber thieves used to cheat people by saying that the bill of MSEDCL had not been paid, now cyber thieves have started cheating in the name of MNGL Gas Company.
