Pune : A Pune-based businessman has been arrested for allegedly duping a woman of Rs.14 lakh by selling her rented car on Zoom app. A case has been registered against the three accused in this regard. The incident took place on May 6, 2024, at 4 pm at Gagan Vihar Society Bibvewadi.
Jagannath Khude (27 years) Kalubai Nagar, Kesnand Phata, Wagholi Ganesh Pagare, Dilip alias Bunty Choure have been booked under IPC 406, 420, 34. In this case, Poonam Sumeet Mundra (39 years). Gagan Vihar society. A complaint has been lodged at the Bibvewadi-Lullanagar Road police station.
According to the police, the accused owns a Mahindra Thar. It is offered on rent through the Zoom app. The accused, Jagannath Khude, booked the car on the Zoom app. The complainant had handed over a car worth Rs.14 lakh to the accused. Later, Khude, in connivance with Ganesh Pagare and Bunty Choure, sold the Thar to Jayesh Gunjal of Dhule. The victim lodged a complaint with the police after he failed to return the car on time. Further investigation is done by the police.
