Satara, India – A shocking incident has caused an uproar in a village in Khandala taluka, where a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a minor boy. The incident occurred on the rooftop of her home, prompting serious concerns within the community. According to reports, the young girl lives with her family in a village under the jurisdiction of the Shirwal police station. The alleged perpetrator, a boy aged thirteen years and five months, had come to play in the neighborhood when the incident took place.
While the girl was playing, the boy lured her to the terrace under the pretext of showing her the sun and feeding her, before committing the heinous act. The traumatic experience has left the young girl suffering from nightmares, and her family is understandably distressed. They have raised concerns and even suggested that the incident may be related to deeper issues of honor within the community, labeling it a potential case of honor killing.
In response to the incident, the police have taken swift action by registering a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Shirva police station. Police Sub-Inspector Nayana Kamthe is currently investigating the case, working to uncover the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
