India vs Bangladesh 1st Test Highlights: Shubman Gill scored his fifth Test century and remained unbeaten on 119. India set a target of 515 runs for Bangladesh. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill scored 109 runs for India. Shubman Gill equalled Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar's record by surpassing Babar Azam.

At a time when India were reeling at 67 for three, Gill and Pant steadied the innings with a 167-run stand for the fourth wicket. . He had scored a century (119) in the last Test against England. He hit 10 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. He also became the first player to hit 100 sixes in international cricket.

Shubman Gill scored a century in the first innings of the Chennai Test. He equalled the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar did the same in Chennai. Gill became only the third Indian in 50 years to score a century in the second innings after being dismissed for a duck in the first innings.

Interestingly, when Shubman Gill was dismissed for a duck in the first innings, there was a lot of trolling on social media. He was caught by Liton Das off the third ball of the eighth over by Hasan Mahmud. This is the fifth time that Gill has been dismissed for a duck in Tests. This led to fans being angry at the 25-year-old batsman's poor performance. On social media, some fans called him India's Babar Azam. But now Shubman Gill has given a befitting reply to these critics by scoring a century.
