Indian Navy selects daughter of Pune waste collector, family elated with pride

Pune: Shweta Pandit, daughter of Jyoti Pandit, doorstep waste collector in Vanvadi, village Pune, has been selected in the Indian Navy and has left for training in Chilka, Orissa. Through her inexhaustible work in delicate circumstances, facing failures, Shweta has brought to the world an inconceivable trip of change through her success. From a youthful age, Shweta joined the National Cadet Corps to serve the nation. She scored 78% marks in the 12th examination by facing the change from Marathi to English medium.

Untroubled by her failure in examinations similar as the Military Nursing Service, police , she continued her study. She prepared for the nonmilitary exam by studying for 10 hours every day, doing tough physical exercises. She performed well in all three tests-physical fitness, health check- up and written test- and her sweats eventually paid off.

Shweta was selected in the Indian Navy because of her good performance among 400 girls. Looking back at her trip, Shweta expressed her gratefulness towards her mama , the Swachh Pune Sewa Sahakari Sanstha and the Kagaj Kach Patra Kashtakari Panchayat for their suitable support. Introductory effects like books and academy freights were taken care of by the association.

She expressed the feeling that the stimulant given by the groups of the children of waste selectors through the association, to fulfill their career and dreams, has played a big role in our success." I know the value of my mama's as a waste collection work and I grew up watching her no way give up.

Jyoti Pandit, doorstep waste collector, Swachh Sanstha expressed pride in her daughter. " I am so proud of my daughter. I've been a member of Swachh Sanstha since 2013 and work as a doorstep waste collector in Vanvadi village. I wanted to serve my country. I've been a substantiation to her work of preparing for the test and my eyes well up flashing back that trip. Our joy knew no bounds when we got to know that she has been selected. But in the midst of all this happiness, I didn't let her sleep on the list of essential effects for training, also I went back to the association and they helped me raise finances. "This success of Shweta has filled my heart with pride."
