In Tunisia, the Foreign Ministry condemned the "brual aggression" and urged the UN Security Council to take decisive action to protect Lebanese sovereignty and security. Yemen’s Houthi group expressed sorrow over Nasrallah's death and declared three days of mourning, while Syria's government denounced the airstrikes as an act of terrorism. In response to the unfolding crisis, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi expressed solidarity with Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of supporting the nation's stability.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi also reached out to Lebanon's leadership, pledging support during these tumultuous times and advocating for an immediate ceasefire in both Lebanon and Gaza. The recent escalation of Israeli airstrikes marks the most significant military action in Lebanon since 2006, reigniting tensions that flared on October 8, 2023, when Hezbollah launched rockets toward Israel in solidarity with Hamas, prompting retaliatory strikes.
