Infiltration of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas for vote-bank politics was encouraged by the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) -led coalition government. The population of these areas is rapidly changing and the tribal population is declining. At the BJP's' Parivartan Rally 'at Gopal Maidan in Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that every resident of the state was feeling unsafe.
But due to bad weather, his helicopter could not take off and he had to go to Jamshedpur by road. Addressing the rally, he further said that the government in Jharkhand is supporting infiltrators. Illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries have increased their influence over the ruling party in the state. "These infiltrators are grabbing land, oppressing girls in the state, besides taking control of the panchayat system," he alleged.
JMM, Congress and RJD are the main political parties in the fray. Modi accused the BJP of indulging in vote bank politics. The Congress has always hated the state and prevented its tribals from joining the mainstream. Modi said the RJD was still avenging the creation of Jharkhand.
