Mumbai NCP solon Amol Mitkari on Saturday supported an alliance with the Dalit leader Prakash Ambedkar- led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi( VBA) for the Maharashtra assembly choices. It was his particular view, said Mitkari, a member of the legislative council and NCP prophet. The Nationalist Congress Party headed by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar is part Mahayuti coalition which includes the Shiv Sena and BJP.
Mitkari also said that leaders of Mahayuti shouldn't underrate the elevation of NCP leaders. “ As a party worker, I feel if Prakash Ambedkar, altitudinous leader, joins hands with Ajit Pawar, who's an important leader, effects different in Maharashtra. This is my particular opinion, ” Mitkari said. Prakash Ambedkar is the grandson of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
Mitkari’s commentary come at a time when differing voices have surfaced in the RSS and Shiv Sena about the addition of Ajit Pawar in the Mahayuti alliance. Replying to Mitkari’s statement, VBA’s Maharashtra unit principal Rekha Thakur said her party can't indeed suppose of joining hands with the NCP as long as it's part of the BJP- led alliance.
Alliance addresses between the VBA and the Maha Vikas Aghadi of the Congress, NCP( SP) and Shiv Sena( UBT) before the Lok Sabha choices had fallen through.
