NEET 2024 test results, there has been a lot of confusion in the country. numerous scholars are demanding the cancellation of the test. The case has been taken to the court by the scholars. The case was lately heard in the Supreme Court. During this hail, the Central Government gave veritably important information.
The Central Government informed the court that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a reappraisal of 1563 scholars on June 23 and the increased marks of all these scholars have been cancelled. What exactly is this confusion about? What was the reason for the cancellation? What is going to be coming? Let's know about it in detail. According to The Indian Express, the scholars whose grace marks have been cancelled now have two options either to accept their marks (without grace marks) grounded on the test held on May 5, or to take the test again on June 23."
The test will be held in the same six metropolises and at different centres," a elderly NTA functionary told The Indian Express. After the test on May 5, several scholars filed writ desires before the high courts of Punjab and Haryana, Delhi and Chhattisgarh, professing that they weren't given enough time to complete the paper.
The examinations began late at select centres, including two in Chhattisgarh and one each in Meghalaya, Surat, Haryana's Bahadurgarh and Chandigarh. The NTA has set up a Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) to look into the allegations. The commission set up the grievances of the scholars to be genuine and suggested that the affected campaigners be compensated in time.
On the base of this, the NTA gave increased marks to 1563 campaigners. Six of them scored 720 out of 720, making them NEET- UG each- India cappers. After the results were declared, numerous scholars approached the NTA and the Supreme Court, professing that this wasn't the right way to deal with the situation. On June 8, the Ministry of Education and NTA constituted a High Powered Committee (HPC) to review the results of 1563 campaigners.
The HPC was asked to submit applicable recommendations within seven days. NTA president Pradip Kumar Joshi and top T.C.A. Sharma, star Dr. C.B.B. Srinivas and four elderly experts. After holding meetings on June 10, 11 and 12, the commission suggested that the increased marks of all 1563 campaigners should be cancelled. The affected scholars should be informed about their factual marks (without grace marks) through their registered dispatch IDs and be given an occasion to appear for the reappraisal.
Those who don't want to appear in this reappraisal, the factual marks given in the test conducted on May 5 should be taken into account. It was also suggested that the former marks of those whore-appear in the test will be invalid. The NTA accepted the recommendation. The High- Powered Committee considered the decision given by the Supreme Court on the CLAT 2018 result.
The NTA had determined the time lost by campaigners on the base of reports of test invigilators, staff and examination of CCTV footage. still, the Committee observed that the lost time wasn't unevenly determined across the six centres. This led to confusion and numerous scholars got advanced marks. therefore, the commission concluded that the most applicable and reasonable result to the problem is to conduct the reappraisal of 1563 scholars as soon as possible.
NTA will now conduct reappraisal of these 1563 campaigners and those for whom reappraisal is directed by the court. Affected scholars will be transferred their factual result on their registered dispatch addresses and new admit cards will be issued soon. The results of the reappraisal will be declared on or before June 30. NTA has also planned to start the enrollment process for NEET- UG early coming time."
This time, we started the process a month agone, but now we will insure that there's enough time between enrollment and test days and start the enrollment process beforehand," a elderly NTA functionary told The Indian Express.
More importantly, NTA will concentrate more on better training for all the invigilators and officers to avoid any kind of detention at the six test centres this time." We train every time, but from now on we will concentrate more on it. The focus of the NTA is to insure that such a situation doesn't arise in the future," the functionary added.
