Two incidents of snatching of mangalsutras from the neck of single women walking on the road were reported in Chikhli police station limits. The anti-dacoity squad visited the spot and examined 125 to 150 CCTV footage from the spot and surrounding areas. When the accused's route was traced, it was found that the suspect was committing crimes alone in the Chikhli area throughout the day. After this, the police searched for the accused in Kudalwadi and Chikhli areas for two days.
Police sub-inspector Bharat Gosavi, constables Sameer Raskar and Amar Kadam saw a suspicious person coming on a two-wheeler in Kudalwadi area. He was chased and arrested.
