Pune: Pune Mumbai Old Highway in the area of Khadki, Cantonment Board will soon get relieve of the traffic jam, All the difficulties have come to an end as the Bombay High Court lifted the stay on the land accession of a hostel and theater. In just eight days, along with authorization for felling of trees in the widening of Ganesh Khind Road, sweats made by the Legal and Road Department of the Municipal Corporation to remove the legal stay of land accession for the widening of the Pune-Mumbai Highway have been successful.

Pune Metro has been upgraded between Pimpri Chinchwad to Khadki on Pune Mumbai Highway. Due to this, the external administration decided to increase the width of the road. The widening was suspended for a long time due to land accession of agreements and estates substantially between Bopodi to Khadki. With a conscious trouble on the part of the administration, domestic parcels were taken over and widened there But, S.No.105, There was a disagreement over the quantum of consideration for the demesne leased by the Cantonment Board of Hotel Punjab Pune and Jai Hind Cinema Khadki.

The administration had also taken an assessment from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department as a third party association. But as this assessment wasn't respectable, the director of Punjab Hotel went to the Pune Municipal Corporation(PMC) High Court against the corporation.

The directors of Jai hind were also defendants in the solicitation. The High Court had stayed the land accession. High Court Justice Nitin Jamdar and M.M.A hail was held moment before the bench of Justice MM Sathaye. The court lifted the stay on land accession while ordering the payment of the compensation quantum to the court as assessed by the Public Works Department.

On behalf of the Municipal Corporation Adv. Abhijeet Kulkarni and Pune Cantonment Board also represented their attorneys, informed Nisha Chavan, legal counsel of the Municipal Corporation. Aniruddha Pawaskar PMC was also present in the court at this time. The decision of the High Court has cleared the way for widening of the road in front of Punjab Hotel and Jai hind Cinema.

The rest of the road has formerly been widened. Only because the work stopped due to the land accession then, the business on this route was diverted from Khadki Bazar and the business was slow and adding to the dilemma. As per the order of the court, the process of land accession will be done as soon as possible and the work of widening the road will be completed incontinently, informed the officers of the external pot.

Last week, the court lifted the stay on junking of trees gumming the widening of Ganesh khind road latterly moment, the way for widening of Pune Mumbai road has been cleared. For this purpose, special sweats were made by the Roads and Rituals Department of the Municipal Corporation.
