The Kedarnath Yatra is expected to resume in June, in view of which the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has prepared its action plan. According to the crowd of devotees, more than 1800 devotees will be given darshan in an hour by the committee in the Dham. Along with this, the devotees of Baba Kedar will be able to see the Shringar of their Aradhya till 12 o'clock in the night.
The Kedarnath Yatra, which began on May 10, has witnessed a record 5,88,790 pilgrims during the 22 days of this month, as compared to 5,54,671 pilgrims during the 31 days of May in the year 2022. At the same time, the crowd of devotees in Kedarnath is expected to increase from the coming week after the summer vacation in schools and the start of offline registration by the government.
BKTC has planned to make the darshan system in Kedarnath more effective. The committee is fully prepared to provide darshan to 36 thousand devotees in a day. According to the committee, 1800 to 2100 devotees will be given darshan in an hour depending on the crowd of devotees. In June, dharma darshan has been started from 4.30 in the morning, which is happening till 3.30 in the afternoon.
After this, for half an hour, Bal Bhog is being offered to Baba Kedar, under which the temple is being closed. After cleaning the sanctum sanctorum from four o'clock in the evening again darshan is being done, which is being done till seven o'clock in the evening. The evening Aarti will begin with the Shringar Darshan of Baba Kedar, which is being done till 12 o'clock in the night.
Devotees worship from 12 in the night till 4 in the morning. For the successful conduct of the yatra in Kedarnath, 80 employees of BKTC are playing an important role in providing darshan to the devotees of Baba by giving eight-hour duty on rotation basis.
Keeping in mind the expected increase in the number of devotees in June, the entire plan has been made to provide more darshan to the devotees in one day. Dharma darshan has been started from 4.30 am and 1800 devotees are being given darshan in one hour. This number will increase further. The darshan will continue till 12 in the night.
