As the speed of mail and express trains was reduced due to fog, these trains were parked on the side railway track near the main railway line in the area of Khadawali, Titwala railway station. The worst affected areas were Kasara, Karjat, Khopoli, Ambernath, Badlapur, Asangaon and Khardi. Local train services were delayed at all stations due to dense fog.
