Due to the summer vacation, a large number of tourists from Mumbai-Pune and other parts of the state are coming to Lonavala and Khandala. The number of visitors increased on Saturday and Sunday. Tourists are thronging Karla Caves, Lohgarh, Khandala Rajmachi Point, Tiger Point, Pavana Dam.(Traffic Jam On Mumbai Pune Expressway)
A group of tourists arrive at Lonavala from Mumbai. So this morning on the road Traffic was disrupted. Traffic in the area was slowed to a crawl. To ease traffic congestion, The police stopped all vehicles on the highway.
Six lanes have been opened for vehicles going from Mumbai to Pune.
Heavy vehicles going towards Mumbai have been stopped in the outer area of Lonavala to ease the traffic congestion.
