Amaravati, India – In a bold move aimed at reshaping the future of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu presented his vision for a "Swarna Andhra Pradesh" by the year 2047 during a session of the state Assembly on Friday. The plan, which focuses on wealth, health, and happiness (WHH), aims to alleviate poverty, foster inclusive growth, and generate employment opportunities for the state's residents. Naidu outlined the vision, developed through extensive consultations with government officials, industry leaders, and the public, highlighting the “Padi Sutralu,” or ten guiding principles, that will direct the state's development. These principles include goals such as zero poverty, employment enhancement, water security, farmer empowerment through agricultural technology, and optimization of energy and fuel costs.
“The Padi Sutralu collectively reflects the aspirations of our people in Andhra Pradesh,” Naidu stated. The vision framework comprises four foundational blocks, twelve strategic themes, and over 270 initiatives, with a strong emphasis on villages as the cornerstone of growth. "We’re committed to making Andhra Pradesh a wealthy, healthy, and happy state," he added, sharing his vision on social media platform X. Addressing the Assembly, Naidu stressed the importance of human resources development and skill training, committing to reduce farmers' investment costs while simultaneously increasing their revenue.
He expressed determination to lead the state forward, asserting, "I will take the State forward as a team leader." Regretting that the previous administration marred the brand image of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu noted that missteps by former leaders had deterred investors from entering the state. He emphasized that rowdy politics would not attract investment, stating, "Investors do not come to the State if the ruling party leaders resort to rowdy politics." With a confident outlook for his political future, Naidu expressed his intention to return to the Assembly for a fifth term, asserting that his political career was driven by a desire to serve the people, not personal gain.
He highlighted the significance of the year 2047, which marks the centennial of India’s independence, linking it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a developed India. Naidu called on all Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to craft their own vision for the development of their constituencies, emphasizing the importance of serving the public to gain their trust and support. He reminded the Assembly that India is currently the fifth-largest economy in the world and urged that progress must come from the states moving forward. In a bid to enhance economic growth, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of two coastal economic zones and articulated his vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a green energy and hydrogen hub.
He also stressed the need for rural areas to receive essential amenities, including roads, water, and electricity. Turning his attention to the capital region of Amaravati, Naidu announced plans to cancel old tenders and issue new ones to expedite construction work by December 15. As the state gears up for this ambitious transformation, Chandrababu Naidu's Vision 2047 promises a future where the people of Andhra Pradesh can thrive in a prosperous and inclusive environment.
