New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu has said that it is necessary for India to have faith in the resolutions of our Constitution and remain firm in order to gain an important place on the world stage. In his address to the nation on the eve of Independence Day, he reviewed the schemes of the Union Government.
She said that the new National Education Policy has started showing good results. He also announced that the foundation of an era of great economic progress has been laid in the country and work has started in the direction of taking the country to the list of developed countries. Social justice is the priority of the government, "he said. Several welfare schemes have also been taken up for the benefit of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other disadvantaged sections.
In his 20-minute speech, he mentioned various schemes of the government. The country is passing through many difficulties. We stood firm on our constitutional values. The President referred to the recent Lok Sabha elections. There were about 97 crore voters, which is a historic record. Such a large number of citizens exercising their right to vote strengthens the concept of democracy. The President said that a peaceful election in our country strengthens the forces that believe in democracy around the world.
He mentioned the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, under which 80 crore people are being provided free foodgrains, and efforts are being made to improve the lives of those living below the poverty line. The President noted that the country's economy grew at a rapid pace between 2021 and 24.
