There has been a lot of speculation about who will replace Jay Shah as the BCCI secretary if he becomes the ICC president. A report has claimed that DDCA's Rohan Jaitley is the front-runner to replace Jay Shah as the BCCI secretary. If Jay Shah applies for the post of the next International Cricket Council (ICC) president, Rohan Jaitley will replace him as the next BCCI secretary.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah is all set to become the new president of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Applications can be submitted until the evening of August 26. Greg Barclay's term as ICC president ends on November 30.

Jay Shah's term ends in September 2025 and if he becomes the ICC chairman, he will have to resign from the post of BCCI secretary. After this, he will have to go through a cooling-off period of three-and-a-half years to regain his position in the BCCI. In such a situation, it is not yet clear whether Jay Shah will contest the election of ICC President in November or not.

Four Indians have been elected as ICC presidents so far.
