In Bengaluru, an account bearing the name of Happiest Minds Technologies Ltd, an IT services company founded by tech mogul Ashok Soota, has been identified as one of the recipients of misappropriated public funds at the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki ST Development Corporation, as per an official document.

The Additional Chief Secretary (Scheduled Tribes Welfare), N Manjunatha Prasad, penned a letter to RBL Bank's MD and CEO R Subramaniakumar, urging the bank to freeze the Corporation's illicitly transferred sum of Rs.89 crore from Union Bank of India's MG Road branch in Bengaluru.

The funds were diverted to various entities including PIFUMS Management Pvt Ltd, Zelliant Training and Consulting Service, YM Enterprises, and others, as detailed in the letter.
