Union Home Minister Amit Shah instructed BJP workers to remove dynastic parties NC, PDP, and Congress from Kashmir. During a meeting with the workers, he emphasized the importance of voting against these parties to ensure their elimination. The elections for Baramulla and Anantnag seats are set for May 20 and May 25, respectively, where it is crucial that every vote is cast against NC, PDP, and Congress. After completing his two-day tour, Shah returned to Delhi on Friday morning.

Before his departure, BJP State President Ravindra Raina and General Secretary Sunil Sharma met with Shah to discuss party affairs and future strategies. Sources revealed that Shah encouraged the workers not to be disheartened by the party's decision not to contest on three seats in Kashmir and urged them to prepare for the upcoming assembly elections.

The party is aiming to contest on all seats in Jammu and Kashmir. Shah engaged in discussions with various delegations, including BJP leaders from Jammu and Kashmir, upon his arrival in Srinagar on Thursday evening. Speculation arose regarding potential meetings with political figures from Kashmir before the crucial parliamentary elections in Jammu and Kashmir, although no official information has been disclosed. Local BJP leaders anticipated a security review meeting for Jammu and Kashmir due to the upcoming Amarnath Yatra post Lok Sabha elections.

However, the meeting did not materialize due to the code of conduct restrictions. Voting is scheduled for May 20 in Baramulla and May 25 in Anantnag. The voting for the Baramulla seat in North Kashmir will take place on May 20. Additionally, the voting for the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency, initially set for May 7, has been rescheduled to May 25 due to inclement weather.
