The state government has allocated Rs 200 crore for the construction of the boundary wall. However, the funds have been allocated only to the five assembly constituencies with BJP MLAs, without considering the entire city. In the constituencies of NCP MLAs and Congress MLAs, not a single rupee has been given.

In the year 2019, due to heavy rains in Pune, the Ambil stream was flooded and water entered many societies. The boundary wall of the building was damaged. Since it was necessary to build a boundary wall to prevent flooding of drains, the corporation built a wall and a bridge in some places, but due to technical reasons in other areas, the work could not be done.

The state government has allocated Rs 200 crore for the project. Accordingly, 5 tenders have been floated by the sewerage department. The Pune collector's office had objected to these tenders as the rules were not followed. Later, the proposal was sent to the district collector for approval.(Mahayuti Govt)

There are eight assembly constituencies in Pune district. Due to the heavy rain most of the rivers in the district are overflowing. However, the municipal administration has approved the list of BJP MLAs in the constituency.

Of this, Rs 41.23 crore has been released for Khadakwasla, Rs 24.80 crore for Shivajinagar, Rs 39.04 crore for Pune Cantonment, Rs 41.15 crore for Parvati and Rs 19.90 crore for Kothrud.

However, the boundary wall will not be constructed in this area as it does not include NCP's Vadgaon Sheri and Hadapsar Assembly constituencies and Congress' Kasba Assembly constituency. Notably, two NCP MLAs have also defected to the BJP.

The state government has sanctioned Rs 200 crore for the project. It has been approved by the district administration. The state government has given a list of works in five constituencies to the Municipal Corporation, according to which the works will be done, "said Dr. Dr Rajendra Bhosale.
