According to the meteorological department, utmost corridor of the state, including the Konkan seacoast, endured a return of heatwave conditions on Sunday. The maximum temperature is likely to hang around 35 to 40 degrees Celsius. The hot rainfall conditions in Mahabaleshwar and Matheran, the favourite hill stations of numerous during summer recesses, also led to the disappointment of those who had gone there on Saturday and Sunday.

On the other hand, Amravati division has started passing water deficit and the number of tanker- affected townlets has doubled in a month. Several corridor of the state have been lashed by heavy rains in the once many days. But since also, life has come decreasingly delicate and water dearth have come more frequent. The number of townlets in western Vidarbha is also adding fleetly. The number of townlets facing water deficit has doubled in a month and the number of tankers has also increased.

At present, the number of tankers in the division has reached 55. In Amravati division, 26 tankers were supplying water to 26 townlets on March 28. still, the number of tanker- affected townlets has gone up to 51 by Sunday after the heat began. The maximum 47 tankers are in Buldhana quarter and 7 tankers are supplying water to 4 townlets of Amravati quarter. A tanker has started in a vill in Yavatmal quarter. As the entire month of May is still left, there are signs that the number of townlets in the grip of failure and alternately the number of tankers will increase further.

Rivers, conduits and streamlets are overflowing in the quarter. In such a situation, the townlets had only the support of wells. Now it's also coming to an end. Water is a major problem for both humans and creatures.
