The incident happened in Bihar's Samastipur district. Bihar Sampark Kranti Express going to Delhi was suddenly divided into two parts. The train was separated from the engine. The Bihar Kranti Express was travelling from Darbhanga to New Delhi. However, the coaches of the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express got separated from the engine near Khudivama Bose Pusa railway station on the Samastipur-Muzaffarpur railway section. No casualties took place in the incident. However, the train was halted after the incident.
