The second tunnel of the Municipal Corporation's Mumbai Coastal Road (South) project has now been opened for traffic, bringing relief to commuters. This tunnel connects Marine Drive to Hajiali, allowing for a quick 8-minute journey. The road will be closed on weekends for construction completion. The municipality aims to open the phase from Nariman Point to Worli by July.

More than 90% of the Dharmaveer Swarajyarakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Sea Coastal Road (South) project is finished, with the final phase progressing rapidly. To ease traffic congestion, sections of the Sea Coast Road project are being opened gradually. The route from Worli to Marine Drive was opened on March 11, with the second phase from Marine Drive to Hajiali starting recently. The project includes interchanges at Amarsons Park and Hajiali for smoother traffic flow.

The Sagari Kinara road project promises significant time and fuel savings for Mumbaikars, along with reduced pollution. It features separate bus lanes and innovative construction methods, including monopile bridges. The BEST administration is requested to consider these developments.

The newly opened tunnel features India's largest diameter, twin tunnels, and a Saccardo ventilation system. Financial tenders will be opened soon for further project phases. The North Channel of the Mumbai Coastal Road project is now open to the public for 16 hours daily, with weekend closures for ongoing construction.
