A tragic accident occurred on Monday night at 10:30 pm at Khandala Battery Hill, below Waghjai Temple on Mumbai Pune Old Highway. A container en route to Mumbai overturned and collided with a car traveling towards Pune. The collision resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left six others injured. The deceased have been identified as Dattatray Ramdas Chaudhary (55yrs) and Kavita Dattatray Chaudhary (46yrs), both from Nimdale, Dist.

Dhule but currently residing in Devkanpimpri, District Jalgaon. Those injured include Yogesh Shriram Chaudhary (40yrs), Janhvi Yogesh Chaudhary (31yrs), Dipansha Yogesh Chaudhary (9yrs), and Jigisha Yogesh Chaudhary (1.5yrs) from Res. Sanskriti Building, Rao Colony, Talegaon, Distt. Maval. Reportedly, the container driver, speeding towards Mumbai, lost control at Khandala Battery Hill, causing the container to overturn onto the car heading to Pune.

Tragically, a woman and the car's driver lost their lives in the accident. The injured individuals have been hospitalized for treatment, while the container driver fled the scene. The Lonavla City Police, led by Police Inspector Suhas Jagtap, is investigating the incident, with Assistant Police Inspector Rahul overseeing the case.
