On Monday in Sangli, a homeless individual was discovered murdered, with the body concealed in a travel bag under a bridge on the bypass road in Shirala. The murder was uncovered due to a foul odor emanating from under the bridge, though the victim's identity remains unknown. Local residents alerted the authorities about the noxious smell near the bypass road bridge.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the badly decomposed body of an unidentified person inside a travel bag wrapped in satranji. The body had a nylon rope tied around the neck and torso.
