After Narendra Modi's third term as Prime Minister began, a significant Union Cabinet meeting took place on the evening of June 10th. During this meeting, responsibilities were allocated. In Modi's third Cabinet, previous responsibilities of prominent figures like Nitin Gadkari, Amit Shah, and Rajnath Singh were maintained. Some new individuals were entrusted with major roles. Amit Shah will now oversee the Home Ministry in Modi's third term. Rajnath Singh (Defense), Nirmala Sitharaman (Finance), S. Jaishankar (Foreign Affairs), and Nitin Gadkari's Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have all been retained. Newly appointed BJP president J. P. Nadda has been appointed as the Health Minister, while Shivraj Singh Chauhan will serve as the Agriculture Minister. Criticism has arisen regarding the representation of Maharashtra in Modi's third Cabinet. Despite being a significant state with 48 MPs, only two cabinet ministers have been appointed from Maharashtra. Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal have been included in the Cabinet, while four other leaders have been given ministerial positions. Within these appointments, Shiv Sena's Shinde faction has been granted the position of Minister of State with independent charge.
