Pimpri : Pimpri Chinchwad Police is taking action against those who are transporting, dealing and storing illegal Gutkha in Pimpri Chinchwad megacity and area. The stock of Gutkha which is banned for sale in Maharashtra has been seized by the Bhosari Police team. One person has been arrested in this case.
This action was taken at Shree Samarth General Stores in Gavane Vasti on Friday(3rd) around4:30 pm. Police Constable Prabhakar Hanumant Khade( age- 39) has filed a complaint in Bhosari Police Station. In this case Nitesh Ananda Navghare(Age- 39 Res. Parijat Colony, Chakrapani Road, Bhosari, Native Res.M.P. Wara Jahgir Te. Dist. Washim) has been reserved under IPC 328, 188, 269, 270, 272, 273(Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime News).
The investigation team was patrolling within the limits of Bhosari police station to take action against those dealing , grazing and transporting illegal gutka. At that time, the police got information that Gutkha banned by the Maharashtra government was being vended in the shop Shree Samarth General Stores in Gavane.
Consequently, the team raided and arrested Nitesh Navghare after seizing banned Gutkha worth Rs.4 lakh 52 thousand 150. Police Sub-Inspector Khade is conducting further investigation. Ganja seized in Chakan Chakan The Chakan police has seized 2 kg 320 grams of ganja worth Rs1 lakh 16 thousand from a woman who was carrying ganja for sale.
This action was taken at Medankarwadi at 11:30 am on Friday(3rd). In this case, a case has been registered against Nanda Ranganath Salunke(age- 50, resident of Medankarwadi, Khed), brother Medgule(resident of Medgulewadi,Shirur) under the NDPS Act. Police constable Randhir Mane has filed a complaint in Chakan police station. Investigation has revealed that Nanda Salunke was given by her brother Medgule to vend ganja. Police are conducting farther investigation.
