In Pimpri, a young man was stabbed by two individuals with a longstanding grudge, resulting in serious head injuries. The incident occurred at Anna Bhau Sathe Chowk in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Ajantha Nagar Chinchwad. The Nigdi Police have initiated a case of Attempted Murder against the two suspects. Ankush Shamrao Kurhadkar, 21 years old and a resident of Shivnagari, Dehurod, Pune, lodged a complaint at the Nigdi police station.
Charges under IPC 307, 506, Maharashtra Police Act, and Arms Act have been brought against Sunny Sonawane and Santosh Sonawane, both residents of Ajanthanagar, Chinchwad. Reportedly, a recent altercation between the suspects and the complainant fueled the attack. The suspects intercepted the complainant at Annabhau Sathe Chowk while he was on his way to visit his grandmother.
Accusing the complainant of causing harm to their brother, the suspects threatened and assaulted him. Sunny struck Ankush thrice on the head with a blunt object, intending to cause fatal harm. When Ankush's friend intervened, the suspects brandished a knife and made further threats. Police are currently investigating the matter.
