CCS police carried out a large-scale raid on Gutka Base in the Nagar Kurnool district headquarters. The raids were led by CCS CI Shankar. Upon receiving a tip about the illegal Gutka stash, the CCS police confiscated a significant amount of Gutka packets that were being stored unlawfully in the market yard of the Nagar Kurnool district headquarters.
Santosh, a trader, was found in possession of the seized Gutka and paan masala packets. Authorities confirmed that a case has been filed, and an investigation is underway. The confiscated Gutka packets are estimated to have a value ranging from 8 to 10 lakhs.
CCS CI Shankar emphasized that buying and selling Gutka is a punishable offense, and strict actions will be taken against those involved. District SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath stated that these raids were carried out as per directives.
