Solapur : In Solapur, both the MPs elected by the people for the last two successive terms have come inactive and failed for ten years. Congress candidate from Solapur Praniti Shinde said that the third time candidate contended by the BJP will also be defeated in the election. Praniti Shinde visited colorful townlets in Akkalkot and South Solapur taluks and interacted with the townies. At the same time, he blamed the inactivity of the former two BJP MPs.

She said that both the MPs couldn't pass through a good performance in one of the ten years. All ten years have gone in. still, Solapur has got the discipline. "This won't be repeated for the third time," he said. Meanwhile, elderly Congress leader Sushilkumar Shinde has reached out to the Veerashaiva Lingayat community, which has a large population and is aligned with the BJP, in Solapur City North assembly constituency, considered a BJP fort.

At a meeting held at the notorious Siddheshwar Talam near the Mallikarjuna temple in Ballivesh, Shinde called for help to the Lingayat community. On this occasion, he was accompanied by MLA Dr. Harjot Kamal, MLA Sukhjit Singh Kaka Lohgarh, MLA Darshan Singh Brar, Former Minister Malti Thapar, Punjab Congress Acting President Pawan Goyal, Former MLA Vijay Sathi, Mayor of Moga Municipal Corporation Nitika Bhalla, Chairman Vinod Bansal, District President Maheshinder Singh Nihal Singh Wala and others.
