In Thiruvananthapuram, the government has announced a price hike for the mid-day meal scheme in schools. The education department has stated that the existing slab system will be revised, with primary and UP schools receiving separate amounts. Under the new plan, primary school students will receive Rs 6 for their mid-day meal, while UP students will receive Rs 8.17.
