On Sunday, May 26, the police arrested two doctors from Sassoon Hospital, alleging that two doctors from the Forensic Department tampered with the blood samples of the accused in the Porsche car accident case in Pune. These doctors reported that the minor involved had not consumed alcohol, despite evidence from CCTV footage showing the boy drinking at nearby establishments before the accident.

The police arrested Dr. Ajay Taware and Dr. Srihari Harlor from the Forensic Department of Sassoon Hospital. Dr. Taware oversees the forensics department at Sassoon. The police claimed to have called Dr. Taware after the accident involving the minor. Taware and Harlor were brought before the court on May 27, where they were granted police custody until May 30 for further investigation and evidence collection.

During their court appearance, lawyers Sudhir Shah and Jitendra Sawant, representing Taware and Harlor, addressed the media. Shah mentioned that the police had filed charges against their clients under various sections, which were not initially included. They argued against the request for CCTV footage, mobile phone examination, and hospital records by the police. Despite their objections, police custody was granted under Section 467.

The lawyers also mentioned that the police accused their clients of tampering with the blood samples of the minor involved in the accident. Lawyer Jitendra Sawant presented Dr. Ajay Taware's defense in court, refuting the police's allegations of blood sample tampering on the instructions of a public figure.

Sawant highlighted that Taware was on vacation during the incident and had no direct involvement. The police sought custody to determine Taware's alleged involvement and to obtain CCTV footage from the hospital, as part of their investigation.
