Similarly, three more cases of cheating were registered by these accused in three different police stations in the last four months. A total of Rs 6 crore 23 lakh 5 thousand have been defrauded in these four crimes.
Additional Sessions Judge P P Chaudhary reserved the order after hearing the bail plea of Usman Attar. Adv. Amey Sirsikar, Adv. Mahesh Jhanwar opposed the bail plea. The court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the accused. The accused had cheated many people. The construction business of all the accused is a joint venture. Many investors are opposed to the proposal. Additional Public Prosecutor Gahlot said the MPID Act was applicable in the case. "We are investigating the case and more arrests are likely to take place in the coming days," said Assistant Police Inspector Dadasaheb Patil.
All the accused were co-accused in the case. There is evidence against all the accused. Therefore, Section 3 of the MPID Act applies in this case. There is sufficient evidence against the accused. An investigation is underway and more arrests are expected. This crime has been committed.
