Pune: Life Imprisonment Convict Escapes Yerawada Jail

Pune: In a shocking incident, a prisoner escaped from Pune's Yerawada Jail. A case has been registered at Yerawada police station.

Raju Pandharinath Dusane (age 43, Ra. MAHALGAON, Ta. The prisoner has been identified as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Vaijapur). A complaint in this regard has been lodged at Yerawada police station. A murder case was registered against him in 2015 at Warje police station. The court had sentenced him to life imprisonment and fine on February 24, 2021. The other was sent to an open jail for good conduct. Agriculture is practiced by prisoners sentenced in open prisons, as well as training in various occupations.
The other was working in an open jail on Monday (August 19). The arrest was made at about half past one in the evening. It turned out that no one else was there. A search was on for another person. However, no complaint was lodged with the police till evening. A case has been registered against him and search is on to nab the other accused. The operation was conducted under the directions of the city police commissioner, Sandeep Patil and guidance of city police deputy commissioners, Hanumantharaya and Laxmi Ganesh, under the leadership of assistant commissioner of police, Srinivas Gowda.
