A minor girl was allegedly molested at a government school in Pune's Bhavani Peth area. This happened on August 15th. The victim is a student of Class VII, while the accused is a student of the same school.
The accused has been identified as Devraj Padam Agri (19). A case has been registered against him at the Samta Nagar police station. The complaint was filed by the 30-year-old mother of the victim.
According to the police, the school is located in the Bhavani Peth area of Pune city. On August 15, the girl went to the second floor of the school to look for her school bag. The accused was standing near the children's toilet.
As the victim approached the accused, he grabbed her hand and forced her into the washroom. During this time, the accused made her feel ashamed. However, the girl managed to escape and escaped.
After reaching home, she narrated the incident to her mother. The mother then lodged a complaint with the police.
A case has been registered against the accused under sections 74, 75 (1) (i) POCSO 8 at Samarth police station.
The accused has been arrested and further investigation is underway.
