The National Democratic Front government's swearing-in ceremony will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday at 4.30 pm. The BJP is set to take charge of key ministries including home, finance, defense, foreign affairs, transportation, information technology, railways, and education. It is expected that several BJP and constituent party members, including Modi, will be sworn in as ministers.

Negotiations between the BJP and NDA's constituent parties are ongoing for the formation of the Cabinet. Ministries such as railways, information technology, road development, and others may be assigned to state ministers from Janata Dal (S) and Telugu Desam. Janata Dal and Telugu Desam are likely to have at least 1 and 2 Union Ministers respectively.

Other parties like Shiv Sena Shinde Group, NCP Ajit Pawar Group, Janata Dal (D), Rashtriya Lok Dal, Lok Sabha Party, Apna Dal, Hindustan Avami Morcha, Jana Sena, and Republican Party are also expected to be represented in the Cabinet. While many parties have requested two ministers, the initial phase may see the appointment of one minister.

Congress leaders have not yet received invitations for the oath-taking ceremony. Potential Cabinet members include BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, S.K. Jayashankar, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnav, Bhupendra Yadav, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mansukh Mandavia, Serbanand Sonowal, Kiran Rijiju, Biplab Deb, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Jyotiraditya Shinde, and Prahlad Joshi. Additionally, former chief ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Basavaraj Bommai, Sanjay Jaiswal, Rajiv Pratap Rudi, Jitin Prasad, Sanjay Bandi, Suresh Gopi, Jitendra Singh, Prataprao Jadhav, Praful Patel, Narayan Rane, Udayan Raje Bhosale, and Ramdas Athawale are being considered for ministerial positions. Furthermore, representatives from constituent parties like H.D. Kumaraswamy (Janata Dal-Secular), Anuppia Patel (Apna Dal), Jayant Chaudhary (RLD), Chirag Paswan (LJP), Jitan Manjhi (HAP), Lallan Singh, Ramnath Thakur (Janata Dal United), Rammohan Naidu, Harish Balogi, and Dagguma Prasad (Telugu Desam) are expected to be included in the Cabinet.
