Admission to the140th Technical Graduate Course(TGC) of the Indian Army at the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Dehradun, commencing in January 2025. There are a aggregate of 30 vacancies in the engineering stream.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or affiliated field. The list of recognized free qualifications according to the engineering stream is available at www. the Indian Army. Nic. Candidates with MSc( Computer Science and Engineering) are also eligible for the posts.)
Age Limit 20 to 27 years as on01.01.2025.(Candidate should be born between 2nd January 1998 to 1st January 2005) Height- at least157.5 cm Age, height and weight.
Training- Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission at the rank of Lieutenant on probation. The 12- week training will be conducted at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
The cadets who successfully complete the training will be granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant. Candidates aren't allowed to marry during the training period.
Pay Scale Defence Pay Matrix Level- 10 with a introductory pay of Rs56,100/- plus MSP of Rs15,500/- and other allowances. Army Group Insurance of Rs1 crore will be provided to the cadets. paycheck Rs56,100/- will be paid. The cadets are entitled to full payment and other allowances during training. Still, full salary and allowances will be paid only after successful completion of training. Gentlemen Cadet Rs1 crore will be covered.
Selection procedure- The candidates will be shortlisted on the base of their performance in the SSB interview. Engineering, Architecture and M.Sc., Sc. The cut- off percentage for each stream will be determined by looking at the average marks of the qualifying candidates till the final year. Shortlisted candidates will be allotted one centre each at Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore and Kapurthala. cautions will be sent via., email and SMS. After the allotment of the selection center, candidates can login to the website and elect the date for SSB on the first come first serve base. The average marks of the final year candidates in Engineering Degree-up to 6th semester, for Architecture up to 8th semester, for (M.Sc. up to 2nd semester shouldn't be lower than the marks fixed for the cut-off.)
Candidates who have been recommended for the TGC-140th course will have the option to apply for the Short Service Commission(Tech) course(April, 2025) if vacancies aren't available in the applicable engineering stream. The final selection of the medically fit campaigners will be done on the base of merit in SSB. The duration of the SSB Interview will be 5 days. campaigners will have to go through two stages of the selection process. campaigners who qualify in Stage-1 will be called for Stage-2. After stage-2, the campaigners will be called for the medical examination. campaigners appearing for SSB Interview for the first time will be eligible for Travel Allowance(AC- III tier fare or bus chow)
The named campaigners will be given one-time Ante Date Seniority in the rank of Lieutenant. After 2 years of Commissioning in the rank of Lieutenant, promotion to the rank of Captain, Major on completion of 6 years, Lieutenant Colonel on completion of 13 years and Colonel(TS) on completion of 26 years will be given. Colonel, Brigadier, and Major General. Promotions are given on the base of selection.
