RR finish third after rain plays spoilsport in their IPL game against KKR.

RR would blame themselves for getting into a nice little rut after an incredible run during the first half of the tournament when they had won eight out of their nine games.

Rajasthan Royals suffered the consequences of their poor performance towards the end of the season when their final IPL league match against table-toppers Kolkata Knight Riders was washed out on Sunday. This result pushed them down to third place behind Sunrisers Hyderabad.

KKR ended the league stage with 20 points from nine wins and two points from washouts. Sunrisers Hyderabad (17 points) edged out RR (17 points) due to their superior Net Run Rate (NRR). SRH finished with an NRR of 0.414, while RR had an NRR of 0.273. KKR will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first Qualifier in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, with Rajasthan Royals set to play Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 'Eliminator' at the same venue.
