Pune: The Vishrambaug police have arrested a man for allegedly committing burglary in the city (Arrest In House Burglary Case). Two cases were registered against him and Rs4 lakh was recovered from him. Jaywant alias Jaydya Govardhan Gaikwad (38yrs). The arrested criminal has been identified as Ganesh Khind, Ambedkar Vasahat, Pune.

The Vishrambaug police station in Pune has seen a rise in the number of burglary cases in the city. The police visited the spot and scanned the CCTV footage to identify the accused. The accused has been identified as Jaywant alias Jaydya Gaikwad. While searching for him, the investigating team came to know that he was in the vicinity of Pune railway station. In order to trace the accused, the police scanned the CCTV footage of Vishrambaug, Shivajinagar police station area and traced him for four days.

During the investigation, it was found that he had robbed two houses. A sum of Rs4 lakh was recovered from him. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Associate Commissioner of Police Praveen Pawar, Additional Commissioner of Police Praveen Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sainath Thombre, Police Faujdar Rakesh Gujar, Police Officer Revan Kanche, Ashok Mane, Mayur Bhosle, Ganesh Kale, Mahavir Walate, Ashish Kharat, More, Patil, Sherkhane, Arjun Thorat and Babur.
