Nature lovers got the opportunity to experience the thrilling experience of the forest by sitting in 81 Machanavar seats in the forests of Patan, Koyna, Bamanoli, Kandat, Chandoli, Dhebewadi, Helvak and Amba or in the forest areas of the Sahyadri Tiger Project.

During the Sahyadri Tiger Project's Buddh Purnimela in Sangli, 81 nature enthusiasts observed 16 species of mammals, 11 varieties of wild birds, and 200 types of reptiles from the vantage points of 81 Machanavar situated across the forests of Patan, Koyna, Bamanoli, Kandat, Chandoli, Dhebewadi, Helvak, and Amba within the Sahyadri Tiger Project area.

Despite challenging conditions like dense fog and rain, these enthusiasts were able to witness the diverse wildlife. Nature enthusiasts from Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Yawad Nagar, Pune, and Mumbai were invited to partake in the Nisarganubhav Program 2024. Participants were required to fill out forms, resulting in over 200 wildlife sightings. Online registrants were asked to complete forms detailing the wild animals they observed drinking water at night.

Participants in the Nature Experience program were rewarded with nature books, T-shirts, and caps from Vyaghra Prakalpa. To gain insight into the nocturnal forest activities such as wild animal sounds and vocalizations, an annual nature experience program was organized by the Sahyadri Tiger Project.

Under the leadership of Tiger Project Area Director Mr. M. Ramanujam, Deputy Director Koyna Mr. Eight forest rangers collaborated diligently with Uttam Sawant and Deputy Director Chandoli Snehlata Patil to ensure the program's success. The Sahyadri Tiger Reserve spans 1,165.57 square kilometers, covering four districts - Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Ratnagiri, where 15 rivers originate.
