The Lok Sabha results in Uttar Pradesh this year came as a surprise, with the BJP falling short of its projected 400 seats. The Samajwadi Party emerged victorious, causing ripple effects throughout the state. A disturbing incident recently occurred in Bilsi village, Badaun, where a 12-year-old boy, who is intellectually challenged, was forcefully shaved by a barber. The boy hails from a Dalit family that had supported the BJP in the elections. Allegedly, the barber acted out of anger due to this support.

According to the Bilsi village police station chief Kamlesh Kumar Mishra, a case has been filed under Section 323, Section 504, and the Atrocities Act of the Indian Penal Code based on the child's mother's complaint. Investigations are ongoing, and appropriate actions will follow. The child's mother stated in her complaint that their family's political support led to this unfortunate incident, causing distress to her son.

Despite her husband's inquiry, the situation escalated, prompting them to involve the authorities. Conversely, the hairdresser's relatives refuted the claims, asserting that the boy's head was already shaved by his mother before the allegations surfaced. Aditya Yadav from the Samajwadi Party emerged victorious in the Badaun Lok Sabha elections, surpassing BJP's Durvijay Singh Shakya by 34,991 votes, while BSP's Muslim Khan secured the third position.
